Our Founder
My name is Anthony Hamilton, father of Sir Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion. Over the years, I've developed a deep passion for collecting classic cars of my childhood and occasionally other rare exceptional cars. I also don't mind a watch or two! For me, every car and every collection tells a story, carries a legacy, and deserves the care and precision that comes with proper stewardship. But as my collection grew, I realised I lacked a clear, reliable way to track the changing values of my vehicles and monitor their performance over time. I wanted to see everything in one place—auction results, market trends, historical records—so I could make informed decisions, whether to hold, sell, or acquire. More than that, I wanted a system to protect my collection for the future. These vehicles are part of my family&'s legacy, and it was important to ensure they were accurately recorded and secure. The thought of my loved ones being left vulnerable or at the mercy of brokers or third parties was simply unacceptable.
Why Build CollPort
CollPort is short for Collection Portfolio a platform designed for collectors, by a collector. It brings everything together. You can track valuations, study market trends, and (coming soon) even trade directly with other vetted members. No hefty commissions, no unnecessary interference, nothing ever has to leave home unless traded, loaned or sold. From expert valuations to high-quality photography and vehicle care, we provide a white-glove solution for managing your collection.
Probate Feature
Most Importantly, CollPort is the first and only platform in the world to provide a Probate feature documenting and protecting everything that you have collected in preparation for safe keeping and hand over to your next of kin. All too often we hear of a collector's deceased estate being sold at under value and at huge commissions where the unscrupulous benefit more than the next of kin. Collection being undersold stops here with CollPort.
Being in Control
This isn't just about cars, watches and the things that we collect, it's about opening up the darker secrets of the brokers, agents and auction houses. We bought the stuff we should be able to maximise our income when selling the stuff.
Vision
My vision for CollPort is to create a close community of like-minded collectors a digital 'Black Book' of collectors who ordinarily only the auctions houses would have access to. It's a place where you can meet like minded collectors, share the passion, trade at zero commissions, make smarter decisions and protect what you've built, all while being part of something bigger.
Transparency
As collectors we are the shrewd ones who seek out, track, find and hunt down our collections, it's a journey that once completed we are on to the next item sniffing out a bargain. But when it comes to selling our items, the brokers, agents or auction houses are the ones who earn huge commissions from our shrewdness. Well, it is time for a change. CollPort is a fully transparent and where possible completely free to use platform. I hope you find this fair and reasonable, we have to make some money somewhere, but just not out of your hard earned collections.
